Description

Animation: a host's Animator, the Animations it runs, and the Easings and Interpolators that shape them.
How values look to a user: an Appearance gives values of one type an icon, a name and a tooltip, and Appearances holds one per type for the whole process.
Commands, which buttons, menu items and keys share, and the shortcuts that run them.
The component model: Component and Container.
Components that libraries share: a library registers its components with the ComponentRegistry, and anyone makes them from the ComponentFactory they already have, by type or by ComponentId, without knowing the library's own classes.
The attribute of controls and entries that show a command.
Attributes of controls that show a list of entries, select one or several and let the user activate one.
Attributes of things that open and close.
Attributes of controls that show or take text.
Attributes of controls that hold a value the user changes: on or off, a number in a range, a date or a time of day, and whether that value is acceptable.
Controls the user presses or toggles: Button, DropDownButton, CycleButton, CheckBox, RadioButton, RadioGroup, ToggleButton and ToggleSwitch.
Controls that show a collection of items and let the user pick from it: ListView, ComboBox, TableView, TreeView and GridView.
Controls that show something: Label, Image, Avatar, InfoBar, ProgressBar, BusyIndicator and Separator.
Controls that edit a value: text, a number, a color, a date or a time: TextBox, PasswordTextBox, TextArea, Spinner, Slider, ColorPicker, CalendarView, DatePicker, TimePicker and DateTimePicker.
Menus of commands and other popups: Menu, MenuBar, and Flyout, a popup that shows any component.
Controls that arrange, switch between or scroll other content: TabBar, Expander, SplitPane, ScrollBar and NavigationView, with the view's entries: NavigationItem, NavigationHeader and NavigationSeparator.
Windows and message boxes, usually shown as dialogs: Window and MessageBox.
Events: the one way code hears about anything a component does.
Causes: who or what led to an event.
The events every component fires about drawing and sizing itself, Component.PAINT, Component.PAINTED and Component.MEASURED, and about joining and leaving a shown tree, Component.ATTACHED and Component.DETACHED.
The events controls fire about their own changes: requests that ask before the user changes something, and reports that tell of every change.
Input events: what the user does with the pointer and the keyboard, drags that carry a transfer, and focus moving.
Extending Strata: new components, new layouts, and changes to existing components.
Plumbing between CustomComponent and Strata's implementation.
The platform's file dialogs: FileDialogs opens them and FileDialog says what each asks.
Immutable geometry values used everywhere in Strata.
Engine-independent input values: keys, mouse buttons, modifiers and how keyboard shortcuts match them.
Layout containers and the values that control placement.
Popups, dialogs and toasts drawn above a screen.
Screens: the unit a host shows.
State and data binding.
Styled text: what controls show, how it looks, and how it is measured.
Themes: how components look.
What the clipboard and drag and drop carry: a Transfer holds one payload in one or more DataFormats, and a drop takes it with a DropEffect.
Engine-drawn content.
